New Intel from our best Spy

The following information was given to the 33 rd Armored Division from one of our top female Spies. Ingrid has infiltrated the Axis High Command to a very high and low level using her skills in persuasion and seduction. She is our secret weapon. We are told that she took considerable risk in getting this information to us so use it wisely.

After Action Report

1st. Armored Action 31 July
Cobreville - Bastonge - Manhay

Kilemall Operational Command - Chasf Armored Tactical

The 1st. Armored Regiment drew it's armor from the Cobreville AB and proceeded to Bastonge, The Column consisted of Four Pannard Armored Cars, Two  S35s, kilemall, Bluemax and, One Stuart, chasf.   The Pannards manned by No1atall, Ken1939, Msgto and Demosdad   were assigned forward recon to Bastogne for the Column . No enemy was sighted and column reached Bastonge safely.

From Bastonge 1st. Armored warped to the Houffalize FB.  Armor formed up at FB and proceeded to Houffalize. Just south of Houffalize enemy air was encountered, several JU 87s and a 110. Armor left road and proceeded along tree line until air threat was clear.  FAF arrived and successfully interdicted enemy air. Pannys went forward to recon and secure new rally point north of the town for column.  After rally N of town, column advanced, heavy tanks using the road while pannys reconned forward and to the flanks of the column. Destination Manhay FB.  Pannys and Stuart scouted ahead of the main body past FB to T Intersection of road east of Manhay.

Pannards went forward and reconned the T intersection and the hardforest to the NE of Manhay and north of the east west road prior to column reaching T.  Once the all clear was given main body armor advanced and took up offensive positions against Manhay South AB.

S35s  and Stuarts approached the east gate of the South AB and engaged EI and ATGs in and around the perimeter of the AB and veh spawn.  Orders were received for armor to enter and lock down south AB.  The 1st.armored heavy tanks, s35s, kilemall and bluemax and Stuart entered AB.  Blumax, Kilemall and Chasf took up flanking position on the Vehicle spawn while other armor covered infantry spawns. The 1st.immediately engaged EI and ATGs .  Msgto ken1939 took  pannys around to the rear of the veh spawn where he discovered a 38T hiding.  Chasf was on the right flank of the veh spawn and in position for the kill when Msgto reported ET in AB.  As Msgto retreated from 38T Chasf fired 2 quicks rounds which resulted in blowing the turret off the 38T.  ATG and AAA guns started spawning in the veh spawn and Blumax, kilemall and chasf dispatched these quickly.  Once enough armor had entered AB, reports came in of enemy tanks on N rd. Kilemall, Blumax and Chasf left AB to contact and engage enemy tanks.  Chasf went directly N of N AB and took up position over looking N rd.  Kilemall took up position approx 2000 m due east of Chasf.  Demosdad took a hit from an atg or ET.  We never saw it but believed it was killed by another unit.

No1atall, NW of town when he reported 3H egaging him.  Chasf immediately turned his tank NW and headed towards No1atall.  Upon reaching crest of hill,  3H came into view.  Saw No1s Pannay and 3H was approaching.  Chasf fired one round and hit in engine at 1600mm. Put another and tank flammed. No1 got the kill as he must have killed the commander.

A second tank appeared  a little further NW than the first one. Ken1939 and Chasf engage ET.  ET was approx  1800 to 2000m away. Ken1939 was hitting him good with this Pannys gun. Chasf fired  with AP 37mm hit turret.  Fired second shot hit sweet spot and tank started to burn.

This was probably one of the best Armored columns I have had the pleasure of being part of in the two years that I have played this game.  We all worked as a team, covered each other and had good communications. As you can see by the unofficial kill record below, we were effective and hurt the hunSo far I believe that we had just two casualties, Demosdad was hit by either an ET or Pak NE of Manhay. Chasf was damaged  and his commander killed just N of Manhay when the AI ATG popped up and got two rounds off at chasf.  ATG was quickly destroyed.   If any of the members have other details they would like to have included in this After Action Report, send them to email.
